Rotbeesten
Rotbeesten?! (RottenBeasts?!) Is a game which designed in collaboration with the forensic ambulant health care facility of Fivoor. The game is developed as part of a research project where the effectiveness of a card game was compared to a visual lecture. The goal of the game was to help workers of Fivoor discover their own preferences and skills surrounding Forensic Vigilance.
During the game, the players will determine the treatment of four clients. The client cases and risks are based on real cases, but they are abstracted by transforming them to the fantastical world of Otterdam where animals live.
Players collect information by picking questions they deem most important. With this limited information, they need to decide if the client requires more care or if the care can be reduced. These choices determine the risk and what might happen with the client.
